When’s the last time you popped a bottle of bubbles?
Let us guess. Your anniversary. Your birthday. That promotion. A win. The first night in your new home.
The point is, sparkling wine isn’t an everyday drink. It’s not a cold beer after work or a red wine with a roast. It’s a ceremonial chink-chink drink for special occasions, for unforgettable milestones, for shared moments. It has its own meaning, its own market, its own glassware and even its own dramatic opening (POP! “Woohooooo”).
So why’s this important? Because time and time again, wineries miss the fact that sparkling wine sits in its own category, with its own cues, and they proceed to stick their still wine labels on their sparkling wines instead.
And to be frank, nothing makes us twitch harder. Sparkling wine is associated with milestones, celebrations and special gifts. It needs refined, sophisticated packaging that leverages this fact.
Thankfully, the talented team over at Corryton Burge understood this.

“Sparkling wine is associated with milestones, celebrations and special gifts. It needs refined, sophisticated packaging that leverages this fact.”
When the Burge family wanted to launch a sparkling wine range into their esteemed wine suite, they approached the packaging with the same care, precision and vision as their still wine packaging.

The brand assets were rearranged to suit the sparkling category’s elegance and sophistication. And for the Martha Mae Tasmania Sparkling Pinot Noir Chardonnay—named after Helen Burge’s beloved grandmother—no detail was spared. The label shape was inspired by a handmade tea set passed down from Martha Mae that the family deeply cherish.
Every bottle is a beautiful nod to the joyful spark Martha Mae brought to each family gathering.

Our advice? Be like Corryton Burge and let your sparkling sparkle.
