Which brings us to the Champion Spirit in Show Trophy at the Royal Australian Spirits Awards.

Voice had the privilege of sponsoring this award this year, which was won (so deservingly) by Amber Lane Distillery for their Equinox Single Malt Whisky.

What may seem on the surface like us giving was actually a whole lot of us receiving. Meeting Distillery owner Rod Berry during the ceremony, getting to pick his brain and have insight into his passion and excitement for the process was nothing short of a gift.

We know drinks branding and packaging like the back of our hands, but while we’ve been involved in this industry for a long time now and consider ourselves knowledgeable, we’re still humble students when it comes to being fully fledged experts in it.
