Mark’s the first to admit that if you get him talking about organics, he’s not likely to stop anytime soon. And that suits us just fine. We love his voracious hunger for producing high quality fruit the natural way and we can’t get enough of his eternal zest for his product. We’ve absorbed every impassioned detail he’s shared with us and like to think we’ve learnt a few things about organic winemaking along the way.
Mark’s label, Tapi, has always produced quality drops, but when he first came to us, his excellent product was falling far short of its potential in the market. This was because the packaging design, which was being created by another design agency at the time, just wasn’t cutting the mustard. Mark knew he needed a design partner who truly understood his product, his drive and his point of difference.
Tapi is sold exclusively online, meaning its aesthetic really, really matters. It needs to impress a sense of quality and to inspire trust, and it has to do so super quickly. We knew with a clever reinvention this product could make a big comeback in the market, and it’s done just that. We opted for a visual expression of the towering mountain that Tapi is named after, Mt Tapuae-o-Uenuku, and have watched this product go from strength to strength. A makeover of mountainous proportions.
